For the purposes of this paper I will be evaluating the younger brother, whom I will call Dr. T. The main leadership practice that he possesses is being a servant leader (Daft, 2014, Chapter 15). His goals are to serve his patients by using his vast experience and education and to serve his leaders and team, so they are able to fulfill their goals as well as the goals of the organization. He is great at motivating his leaders to learn their larger purpose in life and in the practice and achieve the mission of the organization. Dr. T regularly gives away gifts, whether monetary gifts or public recognition to those who go above and beyond in their work. He believes in his leaders and works hard to make sure that he empowers them to become independent and grow. Dr. T also embodies a participative leadership role in that his leadership team trusts that he will be open to new processes. The team understands that they can bring him broken processes and their ideas to improve or fix them that they feel will be beneficial to the practice. He also uses a transformational leader style that is shown through his ability to bring about changes to the office and act as a role model to the team.
