If repercussions were known to not be as severe and leniency would be given in any situation for telling the truth about something negative then many public relations employees and those who hire these public relations employees would be less likely to lie. Both articles “New Class(room) War: Teacher vs. Technology” by Samuel G. Freedman published in 2007 and “What is the future of technology in education?” by Matt Britland published in 2013, discuss the role of technology in schools. Freedman believes that technology is a form of distraction that teachers have to compete with, for students’ attention while Britland maintains that technology can enable students to learn and collaborate anywhere, specifically with the aid of the Cloud. Comparing both articles, Freedman’s article is stronger because he employs evidence that are more effective in supporting his main argument and his use of anecdotes makes his arguments more persuasive in illustrating the “war” that teachers have with technology in…

“You never look good trying to make someone else feel bad,” this quote alone speaks volumes. How can someone just lie on an innocent individual just to protect their wrongdoings and continue on with life without feeling guilty? But at the same time, this game called lying is the “new black”. Many individuals today in society and from the previous eras failed to realize that “if you just tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” Mainly because when someone has told a lie they must create many lies after that to keep up with their story and it becomes too much and they begin to forget the first lie they even told.…

Most people will say that lying is never the answer, but they don’t always tell why. Lying often ends unethically, not only the can the lier be punished or feel guilty in the process, but it often goes further than anticipated. When looking back there seems to be more consequences on the result of the pretense than what the reward would have been if everything worked out and there was no lying. The Salem Witch Trials, the McCarthy Trials, and the McMartin Trials all proved that it is important to always be honest, regardless of the sacrifice.…

Great idea from GCU to implement the game as a way of studying. Before taking this class I had heard of the either/or and the Is/ Ought but to be honest I did not know they were considered to be fallacies. This class is teaching so much about fallacies and how a lot of us use them in our daily conversations with other without even realizing it.…

If deception is the only way to reveal a vital truth, then the world should live without the truth. Deception is never the answer to a question you cannot answer. As a journalist, if you find yourself in the position where you feel as if you have exhausted all of your options, I believe that it is then time to keep trying because there is always a way. The way may never be easy, but any way is better than using deception as a tool for seeking the truth. Deception is a form of lying and lying is one of the sins of journalism.…

People make mistakes. It’s a natural part of life; none of us are perfect. However, if heard about a public figure making one, this philosophy no longer applies. We’ve all heard of those nights were a public figure/congressmen/ or celebrity forgot that they were married, and their mistress comes out to the public. And I’m even surer that soon after those same people have admitted to being a terrible person, publicly apologizes to their family and etc., and now is going to work on being a better person.…

The environment of a classroom is a very important factor in a child’s education and should include a variety of centers, equipment, and space.
