Greetings Mr. Schmitt,

On March 8, 2018, we held our kick-off assembly for our Strap4It For Champions, an after school program that will teach kids in Belle Glade, FL about health and wellness, money management, social manners, and much more. As an assistant and a media coordinator, our execution and performance of this event, is my greatest accomplishments by far during this internship.

We spent a month planning the kick-off assembly. It happened to be the first event I was a part of as Cre’Von’s assistant. I have always written stories, press releases for the foundation, and attended the events, but this time I was in charge of making sure Cre’Von was fully prepared. I kept him informed about the after school program, educating him about

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Robert Terlikowski. A kind-hearted, compassionate and intelligent student, Robert is making the most of his high school career. I have been impressed with his dedication to academics and the school community. A motivated student with an apparent concern for others, he has distinguished himself among his peers. .…

One of the events included a discussion about academic success. The other e-board members and I created a power point outlining methods that would help students succeed academically. We also organized events discussing police brutality, the 2016 presidential election, and issues affecting African Americans as well as people of color in general. I also volunteered to assist with the ‘Stand Strong and United Event’ which was an initiative to develop an…

On Wednesday April 27, 2016 at approximately 8:50 A.M. I arrived with another online student, Sarah Johnson, at the Allegany County Circuit Court at the address of 30 Washington Street, Cumberland MD, 21502. The judge for that morning was W. Timothy Finan. Upon entering the front door, you had to put all of your stuff in tubs that they ran through the security scanner; while they were doing that, you walked through a scanner as well. On the other side you reclaimed your items. The security officer then directed us upstairs to the second court room.…

One of my task to do was get people to know about our event and know what's it about. I made posters and put them all over the school and even made flyers for people to take. My team and i also made a big banner to put in front of the school so when parents would pick up their kids up they can know…

I wrote a book. One, where if it were a movie I would not be old enough to watch it without an adult. No, you can not buy it at Barnes & Nobles or your local bookstore or anywhere books are sold. But I would gladly give you a printed 8 x 11, arial, black and white, 5 font size, unstapled copy in exchange for a Jackson. A little more if you want it signed.…

Leadership Playlist EDL 652 - Natalie Priester Natalie Priester Beginning next month, I will begin my twelfth year of teaching but my first year teaching English 7 at Pinacate Middle School in Perris Union High School District (PUHSD). I chose to relocate and join the staff at PUHSD because they have a strong commitment to technology which is named Scholar+, strong leadership, and diverse student and teacher demographics (and it doesn 't hurt that my boyfriend is a teacher there and it is twenty minutes from our new house). Aside from teaching, I am heavily involved in the edtech community. I present for EdTechTeam GAFE Summits, CUE Tech Fairs, CUE Rockstar Camps, and maintain a strong circle of friends/personal learning network (PLN) of…

The following are just a few of the many student-and-DECA events we held in order to bring support, self-confirmation, and inspiration to young women: Copperas Cove DECA knew exactly how to make this project a success, and continue to further it to this day. We were able to provide for a worthy cause while honoring all of DECA’s ideals and values. Our teams placed teamwork above all, working in not so ideal circumstances toward a common goal. We exemplified integrity in all our endeavors, making sure to always do the right and moral thing for these girls, even when nobody was looking. Innovation flourished as Copperas Cove DECA was able to come up with new ways to attract an audience through media and the products created to raise funds.…

Sitting on the hard track with my committee around me watching the fireworks burst above me while the tears are rolling down my face, I finally realize that all the work was worth it. The thought of being the reason behind a glimpse of happiness within someone’s life has always been a motivating factor within my own. During my sophomore year of high school I was given the opportunity to join student government and was placed in the special programs committee. While in this committee I worked with six other girls to plan and execute events for the student body as well as the entire community of Rocklin. Knowing that the stress of planning and pulling off these events was providing so many people with lifelong memories made it all seem worthwhile.…

I was 23 before I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder. As far back as Elementary school I knew that there was something “off” in the way that I processed information. That my ability to do well academically was somehow hindered by not having certain tools that I needed, tools I wasn’t even aware existed. In high school, I began to augment my deficits with strengths. Where my grades were lacking I made up for it through creativity; I excelled at art and photography.…

In third grade, a boy named Blake - a notorious troublemaker - would chase every girl during class trying to kiss her on the lips. Most of the girls gave in eventually. It was easier to give in than to keep running. When it was my day to be chased, I turned to him, grabbed his glasses off his pudgy face, and stomped on them in front of all the kids on the blacktop. He ran to the principal's office and cried.…

Throughout my high school career, I have participated in a number of activities that focused on benefiting the students and community around me. Each activity provided a unique experience that I still carry with me and learn from to this day. As a Minority Student Achievement Network (MSAN) representative, I have traveled to Massachusetts to discuss racial issues in America with hundreds of other MSAN students across the country. Our goal was to come up with solutions to resolve some of the issues we face in our hometowns.…
