On the 8th of October, I was given an assignment to find the book Why Things Bite Back by Edward Tenner. When I find the book I have to answer the question of how many pages are in chapter 12. I originally wanted to do this task right away, but little did I know that my mind had other ideas. When class ended, I went to my introduction to college class and thinking about how I would handle it. So I devoted my entire focus to that problem for the entire class period. I knew that the best decision would be to go to the library and get it out of the way. But, my old habits started to take control and I didn’t start it. For the entire weekend I procrastinated the assignment. When Monday came my initial intentions was to finish the assignment. So I went to my first class, which was earth science, and practically fell asleep. When the class ended, I had 2 hours till my next class, so what did I do? I went to the student lounge and played smash brothers for the entire time. …show more content…

An hour and a half later I left class and to the library. On my way there I ran into several friends and talked for a while. It seemed like every time I try and do something productive I get distracted and not do it. The conversation took up a good hour of my homework time. When I entered the library, I went to my usual spot, which is in between the bookshelves and did my math homework first. I hated all the math that I had to do, it felt like the problems just kept on coming. The homework took me two hours to finish it

I just couldn’t find the motivation to hand in stuff like homework on time. I actually started to do less and less each school year. I never try to fix my problem because there were never any consequences to it. I would pass all my classes with decent grades with no problems despite ignoring a lot of the work, but then I was called by my English teacher to stay after class.…
