In addition, it also talks about how students having troubles applying the knowledge they learn to daily life. But in the end, the author gives readers the diction of improving the education system. The author points out some issues of the US education system. The author uses a wide variety of records to show these issues. For example, by comparing the difference between the average high school graduation rate in the nation’s 50 largest cities and the rate in the suburbs, it proves the unbalance of the education system in different areas. Aslo, by providing the large the huge percentage of students were not enrolled in public schools in their home district, it shows the problems among some public schools. Furthermore, the heavy college debt has been a main problem in the society.
