Margaret starts by describing the prairies, and I couldn’t help but laugh to myself. People still think the same way towards Alberta/Saskatchewan and continuing into Manitoba as one very flat piece of land with a few rolling hills that make everything look the same and put people to sleep. “I have had it said to me that the railway trip across Canada is spectacular, except for the prairies, when it would be desirable to go to sleep for several days, until the ordeal is over.”
