We as people are influenced by what we hear, see and experience. It actually starts during childhood. Whatever we see, we’re going to think it’s okay; however, whenever we obtain a certain age, we are supposed to accumulate a certain level of common sense to know what is right and what’s wrong.
To begin with, a short story called “What of this Goldfish would you Wish’ is written by Etgar Keret. This is a story with plenty of explanations of how we are shaped as human beings and would probably be recommended for advice about this topic. It is about a man who is loving, caring and always trying to help someone besides himself. He had three wishes from his pet goldfish for that anything he wished for would guaranteed come true. Instead of wishing for foreseeable things, he wished for more phenomenal and greater things that the average person wouldn’t wish for. This is important to how we are shaped as human beings because most people growing up are being taught based on materialistic things such as cars, money, clothes, shoes etc. Maybe this man was brought up a little different and cared much more about the aspects of life and not materialistics. …show more content…
It was about the conflict of Palestinians and Jewish people. It focused on how it effects the relationships of many people in the long run. This is important to how we are shaped as human beings because in America we are not trained to hate any race or ethnic group. However, we as Americans fail to realize what other people in different countries go through. We cannot relate to this harsh reality because we are immune to these laws and regulations. This clearly means that the government would definitely take a big part in how we are shaped as human
