A lot about what you say, how you look, and your attitude towards other people can affect or help define who we are. Someone can just look at you and tell that you are a mean or nice person. But are you really? It’s insane how someone’s actions or state of mind can tell a lot about their personality. My view on relationships is, before you judge or assume something about someone, get to know them first. Some people feel as if without friends, you can feel cold, lonely, or depressed. The short story “What of This Goldfish, Would You Wish?” shows the theme of loneliness. Yonatan was a young boy who one day was making a documentary. He came across a magical fish, which soon became his best friend. The fish granted him 3 wishes. You would’ve never known that the Yonatan would use his wishes on other people. This shows a lot about his character. We now know that the boy is not selfish, and he cares for others. …show more content…
Would you feel the same way about them? In the short story called “a wife’s story” everything went downhill with a relationship that seemed so unreal, and amazing. A male and female wolf, loved each other dearly. They were “married” and had kids together. To the wife, the relationship was perfect. She believed that her husband was kind, talented, and unharmful. Until one night everything took a turn for the worst. The male wolf started to act different towards his whole family. His actions, and appearance started to change and his family was now scared of him. He turned into what his wife and kids feared and wasn’t used to. This shows a lot about the husband personality, he basically turned on his family in the matter of

The she-wolf, or she-devil, occurs in literature as the temptress who possesses an unexplainable mental or sexual power over men. This character makes appearances in stories spanning centuries, from Giovanni Verga’s La Lupa in the 19th century, to George Saunders’ Sea Oak in the 21st century. In La Lupa, Italian for “she-wolf,” the main character sets her sights on men, namely her daughter’s husband, Nanni; she sexually dominates men without care for anything other than her own desires. Saunders places a contemporary lens on the she-wolf in Sea Oak; the she-wolf in his story is Aunt Bernie, a woman who comes back from the dead and raises hell in a household full of delinquents. Verga and Saunders both use similar elements and settings to different versions of the she-wolf figure; although La Lupa and Aunt Bernie live vastly different lives in different worlds, both characters inhabit traits of the traditional trope —…

As human beings, first impressions matter and these impressions helps us to determine what kind of relationship we will have with certain people whether if they’ll be long term or short term relationships. However, it is apparent that our first impressions of people are not always right because without realizing it, we have a tendency to place stereotypes on certain people before we really get know them more personally.…
