The short story “What do fish have to do with anything” by Avi is about a curious and thoughtful kid named Willie. He sees a homeless man on the street and he wants to help him, but his mom won't let him.
An example of why Willie is curious is because on page 188 Willie asks “Why don't we give him anything”? That suggests that he wants to help the homeless man. Another example of why Wille is curious is because on page 190 Willie asks “How much money do we have”? That shows he really wants to know how much money they have. These quotes show what a curious boy Willie can be. Another character trait that Willie has is he can be very thoughtful. On page 190 he states that “I'm going out”.
