Summary Of Waverly's Invisible Strength

The lead character, Waverly uses invisible strength in a few ways. Waverly's mom told her to, " bit back your tongue", which is an idiom meaning for Waverly to keep her mouth shut. When they are in a shop with Waverly's favorite candy because Waverly did," bit back her tongue" her mom rewards Waverly by grabbed a bag of plums. Waverly’s mom told her that she had an invisible strength, which means that Waverly's ability to not speak was louder than the words she does speak. Waverly found her inner desire to play chess and that she was good at it but her brothers would not play with her. So she found that there were old men playing in the park and decided to go and play with
