Analogy between literature and video games has been used successfully by author Parkin in the article. Analogy is a literary technique used to compare for explanation or clarification purposes. In this article, presentation of analogy has made an appeal to the audience by conveying the relevant information on video game violence. Although, Parkin uses argumentation strategies like analogy and logos to increase credibility of the essay, he fails to provide his clear viewpoint on this matter. Instead of opting for a subtle argument on this sensitive issue, a clear take would have made Parkin’s argument strong and credible. It is a matter of great concern that violence in video games are being more interactive and realistic day by day. With most of our young population obsessed over video games, it is of high time that we address this problem
