Tom Strasser wrote “On the Bridge”, to inform readers. Strasser wanted to inform us that if one must pretend to do something to be someone’s friend, they’re not their ally. “He too was smoking a cigarette. It was his first ever, and he wasn’t really inhaling. Just holding the smoke in his mouth for a while and then blowing it out” (Strasser 1).
