According to the poem “To This Day” by Shane Koyczan, he states “Despite everyone who told you to quit, you built a cast around your broken heart and signed it yourself ‘They were wrong’ (Koyczan). This was the context before the main point, which later talks about “Maybe you used to bring bruises and broken teeth to show and tell but never told, because how can you hold your ground when everyone around you wants to bury you beneath it? They have to be wrong” (Koyczan). This talks about how they push you, and how the victim of the bully doesn’t need to tell the adults, because they are strong enough now to face the bullies by themselves. This could be the sign of the cast, and how they wrapped it themselves around their broken hearts and signed
