In the wake of Zika virus, group of scientists tried to understand the cause and effect of this virus. Zika virus was carried by a mosquito. This virus was first experienced by an infant in Brazil as of 2015 and started to spread over Panama, Haiti, Mexico, and the United States. Scientists studied that Zika virus has led to microcephaly, as well as problems with the eyes, ears, and joints of the human infants. Moreover, because of this virus, infants might have seizures and grumpiness behavior. There was a program called Zika in Infants and Pregnancy Cohort Study (ZIP), to allow scientists to conduct further study of this virus among pregnant women.
