The focus of this article is to gain understanding between the knowledge and skills obtained in an ADN program and a BSN program as well as the effect it has on continuing education. The students that were interviewed gave light to the advantages and increased level of growth within themselves during their transition from RN to BSN. These students describe a deeper understanding of leadership, community health, evidence based research, and advocacy for their patients and how it directly applies to them.
