The greatest form of power recognized all over the world has monetary value and is otherwise known as gold. So the more gold you have, the more power you have, and our beloved president saw that as an opportunity. Growing up we are always told that America is the most powerful and the most free country in the world, but by accepting this we have become closed minded. We have become complacent. If we believe that we are given so many liberties than we will cease to be free because we have no drive to be any better. If you go to another country, then you understand what I mean, because at the end of the day you will not know the effects of anything until it happens to you. This man describes unknowingly how the United States was back then and how it is now. How the world is always revolved around money and how we will always find a resource to exploit. How if someone stands in the way, then it is our job to move them. No matter the costs, no matter lives. Take a second to analyze that, “no matter the lives.” Have we become so desensitized that we devalued the thought of killing another human being? “Murder is murder, and somebody must answer.” This line hit me the most because it is regrettably true.
