Summary Of The Song 'Can I'

Decent Essays
The song I chose for my project is, “Can I” by Alina Baraz and Galinatias.
Though it has some excellent verses, the lines that inspired me the most were: “If I color you with all my thoughts/ would you lose your fears of being lost? I bet you never even knew/ I see the universe inside of you.”
For the project I used black and white acrylic paint, tracing paper, and glue. I chose to use paint because it was faster and smoother than using a sharpie. It saved me a lot of arm pain. I used tracing paper because it was thin. I was able to create the illusion of the person being see-through much like the last lyric. I had a few troubles but I think I moved past them well enough.
At first I wasn’t really sure what to start with. I had several songs

Other music genres depend on the time that the songs came out, give me different feelings. Music from the 1980s and 1990s give me senses of nostalgia, music from the early 2000s remind me of my prime years in my childhood and immigrating to the United States.…

Randall Collins’ piece, “Interaction Ritual Theory,” draws on the works of Erving Goffman and Émile Durkheim. He presents a theory of social interaction on the basis of the emotions and rituals that they bring. Interaction ritual theory explains that interactions either produce or exhaust “emotional energy” which is “what individuals seek” (Collins, 2004, p. 604, 606). Collins states that, “everyday life is the experience of moving through a chain of interaction rituals, changing up some symbols with emotional significance and leaving others to fade” (Collins, 2004, p. 607). During the colloquium that was given last week there were several interesting points that were made. The colloquium was started with talking about ow how we as Christians should e open to learning and growing in everything at all times, and how we do not have to limit ourselves to only learning about one thing in a certain place or time. The next main idea that I was drawn to was that God is truth and we have no way of knowing the full truth because of our sin. It was stated that truth was taken when Adam and Eve first fell from sin and now we are confused by that truth, the example of the ping pong balls made a really good example for this idea as it showed how truth can be mistaken for something else so easily and that some tings that may look like truths are not necessarily true.…

Shortly after his birth, his family moved away to Paris, where he received his first piano lessons in 1882. Maurice Ravel faced many failures in his music career before being regarded as one of the greatest living composers in France.…
