Racoon spoke quietly as they often do. “Why choose at all? I come and go as I please.” Husky was shocked at Racoon’s casual response. Others were outraged at Racoon, screaming for him to leave. Raven spoke and all listened.

Both would spend one lunar cycle with a wolf pack, one with a husky pack, and spend two cycles with just the two of them looking at both worlds while living as a pack of two. They would gather again following their four-cycle learning experience and then speak about what they had learned. Wolf was reluctant at first, asking what about the danger of dying. Raven looked kindly at them and stated, “that is why you are together, one looks out for the other and ensures that the other is safe. Besides, if you need help, just give a howl.” She winked, then all the animals dispersed, except Wolf and Husky.
