In the poem "Minerva Jones", by Edgar Lee Masters talks about how Minerva Jones died in the hands of a doctor. People hooting at her while she walks down the street. Minerva Jones is describe as a heavy body, cocked-eye, and rolling walk girl. What i learned about this individual was that she was named called for just walking down the streets. The people she talks about are the people who were hooting at her and the doctor that they left her with. She was left on her own fate with a doctor name Meyers. She was just looking for love and a good life to live in.

What i know about hime is that he was a good hearted man, healthy, happy, in comfortable fortune, and a easy doctor. When he tries helping Minerva she dies and the newspapers disgraced him and his wife perished of a broken heart. It shows how society back then was really judgmental to doctors just because someone they tried helping dies in there hands. At the end he says,"pneumonia finished me" which means he died after all that happen. He wasn't a healthy and happy doctor anymore.

What I know about the speaker is that he tried helping and broke the law human and divine. The newspaper talked about him cruely. The relationship they have in the poems I've read is that they all are talking about the same people in different perspectives. Her opinion was heart broken and didn't want something with him and to love God and keep his commandments. Society's values are bad because they judge even though they don't know the truth of what really happen to
