Summary

The empire united the nomadic Mongol and Turkish tribes of historic Mongolia under the leadership of Genghis Khan, who was the ruler of all Mongols in 1206. The empire grew very fast under his rule and then under his descendants.

Introduction

The Mongol Empire stretched from the Sea of Japan to the Carpathian Mountains at its height, making it the largest contiguous empire in history. The Mongol empire began with the unification of the nomadic tribes of Mongolia by Genghis Khan (1165-1227) in a series of wars from 1180 to 1206.

Different perspectives on Mongols a lot of people have different thoughts on the Mongols some say that they are the most advanced and successful and some see them as blood thirsty killers.
