Kilgoneyeleh has been around since the beginning of the time, searching for the perfect planet to stay and feast on. The planet that he had found, however, just so happened to be Earth. Kilgoneyeleh feasts on children, and has been since the time of the ancient Romans. Ever since then, he has been feasting on these children, and for everybody's children that have gone missing, nobody has had a logical explanation as to what really happened to them. This cycle changed, however, in the year 1903, in a southern town in West Virginia, over one boy’s summer. This boy’s name is Bolby Bilboney. Bolby Bilboney was more of the loser in his school, the one who was usually bullied and called names. Bolby was excellent in …show more content…
Nobody could quite decipher what had happened to the boy, but everybody had just assumed that he had gotten lost in the woods on his way back from the river. This speculation wasn’t completely wrong. Bolby hadn’t felt quite right that day. He had been experiencing sudden chills, and also he had been hearing faint whispers of a dark, deep voice off in the distance. Although Bolby was experiencing these things, he did not quite make the connection to these things possibly being a sign to the thing he now called Kilgoneyeleh. At the end of the day, however, stepping into his home, he could smell a faint, but putrid smell coming from the hallway down to his room. It getting dark, so he had a few troubles navigating to his room. The door was closed, so Bolby opened it slowly, not knowing why he was being so cautious and weary. Now, the door was open. Looking into his room, there was only one thing he could see. Sitting up in his bed laid the half eaten corpse of the child that had gone missing. Bolby hadn’t slept that night. His parents weren’t ever home, so Bolby had stayed in his parents’ room with the door locked, and with their dresser in front of door. He had now come to the conclusion that Kilgoneyeleh was, in fact, real, for he didn’t know what could possibly of mangled the child’s corpse in the way it …show more content…

After traveling for a few hours, he assumed it must of been past midnight. He found the village, and made his way back to his own home. Entering the house, Bolby felt a sense of comfort. With the darkest of his fears gone, he felt relief. Going to sleep, Bolby decided, was a reasonable wager, for he hadn’t slept in what seemed like days.
That next morning, Bolby woke up with an odd sensation.
“Something’s not right,” Bolby thought.
He walked into the living space of his home, and sat down to read a book. The book he was reading was “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”, by L. Frank Baum. Right then, an abnormal sound had emanated from down the hall and in his room.
“What could this possibly be?” wondered Bolby.
Bolby had decided to investigate as to what made this sound. He had sworn he had left his door open when he walked out of it, of which was now closed to his belief. When he got to his room, he opened the door. Nothing was there. Hesitantly, Bolby turned around.
As Bolby turned around, his skin went pale. Standing behind him, was the one and only; the legend,
