Khaled Hosseini's The Kite Runner

When your freedom is thievery stolen from your own home country, nothing feels like home anymore. Khaled Hosseini is an Afghani-American novelist born in Afghanistan. Living in Afghanistan he had said that he grew up in a very peaceful place which made the author get the inspiration to write most of his stories settings in Afghanistan. One of his stories that had been drawn to the reader’s attention was “The Kite Runner’’. Radwa Ashour is an Egyptian author born in Cairo. Many of her writings reflect on the old times, one of her most famous novels is “ The Granada’’, the novel talks about Muslims in the early years of Spain. Amir’s early life was described as people looking at him as a failure even his father had said so, and his dad`s servants son Hassan was the heroic, dominant kite runner as Amir’s only talent was writing which had led to Amir feeling resentful, As the years go by the Soviet Union evaded Afghanistan and had stolen the freedom of the people in Afghanistan. Amir and his Baba had escaped to California to live a better life and Amir had the chance to develop his writing skills. Later on Baba has been diagnosed with cancer and had passed right after Amir had gotten married to his wife Soraya. Fifteen years had passed Amir had gotten a call from Baba’s dearest friends Rahim Khan learning that Hassan and his wife have been killed by the Taliban that news made Amir rush back to Afghanistan ,going to Afghanistan he knew that Hassan has a son named Sohrab and has been abused in the orphanage he has been in.
