sh 1 This year, I have been reading The Invention of Hugo Cabret, by Brian Selznick. The book is about a boy named Hugo who tries to fix an automaton. After his father dies in a fire at a museum, Hugo has made it his goal to fix the automaton. Hugo and his father were both clock workers, so they were very experienced with machines. During the day, Hugo fixes clocks at a train station, the job his father used to do, and when he can, he tries to fix the automaton. Multiple times in the book, Hugo steals food, and parts for the machine. Hugo eventually fixes the automaton and finds out that the machine draws exquisite pictures. I will now analyze the special elements and sequences in the book.
