44) The first two transformation coaching phases create the relationship to support the committed action. This creates a type of coaching that engages the heart which in turn leads to the release of discretionary energy, passion, and best efforts (pg. 52).
In part two of the book, Crane provides a model to help people learn to view each other as whole individuals within a business setting. He describes the “results cycle” which examines an individual’s beliefs, behaviors and relationships (pg. 133). When people consciously explore and replace limiting belief systems, one’s energy, tone, and intention shift (pg.140). Through this process, we gain personal transformation which in turn can sustain positive relationships.
Crane also provides an overview of different coaching styles. He lists each styles strengths and weaknesses in effort to assist the coach in becoming more effective. Crane makes note that it seems universally important to display the compassion that permits rapport and connection to others (pg. 231).
