They cover up stories of fellow associates dying, blaming the employee. The real truth though, is the employer (Sea World) is putting every trainer’s life in danger. The documentary was released in 2013, and ever since there has been an ongoing law suit. Thus, SeaWorld has been losing a great amount of profit. Tilikum the largest whale ever held in captivity, died in 2017. He was tortured his whole life, and ended up killing more than three trainers. All trainer-related stories SeaWorld had, they attempted to cover up. Tilikum was, (“Held captive against his will, all he could do was swim in small circles and float aimlessly at the surface of the water, far away from the expansive ocean in which he had swum a hundred miles a day alongside his family members.”) Also, he was placed in a small confined space when he was about 5 years of age. Tilikum was not alone, in fact he had two other females in the tank as well. The females that were inside were older and much larger than Tilikum at the time. They were 2 female orcas from “SeaLand Of The Pacific” in California. These ladies turned out to be very aggressive, abusing Tilikum constantly. This resulting in an aggressive, sad future for Tilikum. SeaLand was forcibly closed because a 20 year old trauber slipped and fell into the small pool where the whales performed. Once she was in, (“Tilikum, Nootka IV, and Haida II dragged and repeatedly submerged her until she drowned, despite other trainers' efforts to rescue her.”
