n the beginning of the book the city of Rebu was getting ready for a battle with the Egyptians. Amuba is the son of the king of Rebu. He goes out to battle with his father he sees him fall, and his friend, an older man named Jethro, helps save his body. The battle was lost so the Rebu returned to their city. The Egyptians attacked the city and eventually conquered it, picking out some captives to be slaves and return with them to Egypt. The high priest of the Egyptian God named Osiris whose name was Ameres, chose Amuba for his servant and at his pleadings, took Jethro as well. Amuba and Jethro find Ameres to be a kind master. They are given to Ameres’ children as attendants, Amuba given to a boy named Chebron about his own age, and Jethro to
