War has been going on for centuries it has been the cause of many ruptured families. Thousands of innocent people die each day due to the war. Many people say “It is much easier to start a war than to end a war.” Everyday we turn on the tv and watch the news, and everyday there is terrible and surprising news not only for us and our country but for the families of the soldiers that are putting their life at risk for fighting in the War. Soldiers go through a lot day and night, mentally and physically. As read in the book The Things They Carried its a fictional story that describes in depth how the Vietnam War was and what the characters in the book had to go through.
