My Opinion On The Outsiders The book “The Outsiders” has been read by thousands of people .This was written in 1967 and it is still being read all the way to 2015.In my perspective I see the greasers as trouble makers but i also see why they are trouble makers. The greasers have had it way more harder than the what the greasers call rich kids “socs.”Socs are people who are more rich and better than greasers in the socs perspective. Some gang up on greasers just becuase they’re bored or they just want to prove them selves that they are better than a greaser but you’ll find out more about this topic when you get farther in the book.Greasers see socs as rich, spoiled, and mischievous. What im trying to show you is why do the socs hate the greasers …show more content…
The socs don't have a reason they should be fighting. An example is bob he was stabbed by johhny why he was trying to drown ponyboy.Bob could have easily not been stabbed if would he have never even gone to the greasers side of the turf.Heres an example of how socs can't be with greasers.”It seems funny that the sunset cherry saw from her patio and the one I saw from the backsteps was the same one.Maybe the two worlds we lived in werent that so different”.This quote is telling the reader that socs can't be with greasers becuase society doesnt want that way.Its just like todays racism. This quote is describing why ponyboy doesnt understand why he can't be seen with cherry valience. The main thing im trying to show you is socs have no reason to fight with greaser and a greaser can't be with a socs becuase the socs society doesnt want it that

They always have to show aloofness to represent the socs, and they can’t really be themselves around the greasers. They also can’t really do much when they are trying to look cool all the time, so it’s hard to enjoy anything. Since their stereotype is being cooler than the greasers, they always have to act cool, so…

The Outsiders Essay Are the Greasers and the Socs really that different or are they more alike that they realize? Greasers are a gang of kids, who live on the East side, that banded together because of a series if likenesses that they share. Socs are a bunch of rich kids who live on the Southside and have all the best cars, clothes, and alcohol possible. These two groups think that they are different, but their similarities outweigh their differences in 180 pages of literature by S.E. Hinton. Even though Greasers and Socs come from different worlds and have different problems they have more in common than they think.…

Most groups have something they can relate with so they can communicate better, for the gang they are all greasers and have to watch out for each other. With this bond that they all share the gang can communicate better, but without Johnny it messes up the balance, or so we thought. With this the group would be able to stay together because even with Johnny, they would do anything to help one another, even if they get hurt themselves. Everyone that fits into the greaser category no matter where, has a strong disliking towards the Socs. If the Socs jumped someone from the group, the gang would retaliate back for each other.…

People are just people, and all people have faults and shortcomings, but all of us are born with a basic goodness.” -Anne Frank. In the book “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton there are two rival gangs, the Greasers and the Socs. The two gangs have two completely different appearances, mainly because of their social classes.…

Greasers aren’t so bad, although, they do sometimes steal and run away from their troubles. They show honor by saving each other, saving random people, and standing up for one another. Although society might not know it, everyone has honor, rich or poor, but the point is that everyone is still human - they just make mistakes sometimes. To begin, most of them are not related to each other.…

In my essay on, “The Outsiders”, I will be arguing that the Soc’s and the greasers are not very different if you compare the two of them. This is important because people are always saying that the Soc’s started something or that the Greaser’s started something but in the end they are just two rival gangs that both do bad things in their own ways. I would say that I would not be classified as a Greaser or a Soc. In my opinion, the Greasers and the Socs are not very different; they both commit crimes, they are both loyal to their friends, and they both start fights. The Greaser’s and the Soc’s are both criminals and they both commit crimes in different ways.…

    S. E. Hilton’s novel and popular film The Outsiders expresses a variety of internal and external conflicts including the main conflict in the novel, which is the division and struggle among social class. The two groups, Socs and Greasers, are drastically different, but also similar in a variety of ways. Socs and the Greasers are merely adolescents struggling with personal and social complications that unfold within society. As the greasers are portrayed as low-life scum no-good-for-nothing-dirt-bags, and on the other hand, Socs are depicted as privileged rich kids who catch all the “big breaks.” What determines to where each member of society belongs which group is the individual’s appearance and finance.…
