They lyrical content of Creeque Ally is an autobiography that narrates how the group was formed and it also makes references to people that they had come into contact with and places they had been. To start, the title of the song is actually from Creque Alley which is home to a club in the Virgin Islands where the original members John and Michelle Phillips would spend vacations. They lyrics are interesting because they mention many different artists that were part of the folk music scene at the time.
