I thought this was an interesting video. I feel that we often do not think about retirement since it is so far off for many of us. Furthermore, I think that it made me realize that I need to really look at how I am currently investing my money and pay closer attention to it. I was stunned by the statement by Professor Teresa Ghilarducci, “The 401 (k) is one of the only products that Americans buy they don’t know the price of it.” Furthermore Ghilarducci went on to state, “It’s also one of the products that Americans buy that they don’t even know its quality or danger.” I was shocked that the mutual fund industry have been able to protect themselves against regulations, which would expose the danger and price of their products.
