The theatre productions i am going to talk about is a play called ‘ The 39 Steps’. The date of the production was 30th september 2015, at the theatre by the lake, Keswick, Cumbria. ‘The 39 Steps’ is a Classic Spy Thriller book Written in 1935 by Alfred Hitchcock, then converted as a play in the style of John Godber.
The play follows Richard Hannay, a Canadian visitor to 1930’s London, England. At the end of a production of ‘Mr Memory’ cut short due to a brawl, Richard Hannay meets a mysterious Woman by the name of the name Annabelle. She explains to him that she is on the run from foreign spies and she needs his help. He agrees to help her by letter her stay the night in his apartment. Annabelle tells Richard that she will be off to scotland
