“Corporate strategy is orchestrated by the CEO and other senior executives and establishes an overall game plan for managing a set of businesses in a diversified, multi-product company” (Chapter 2, pg. 27). This is where you try to see which market is best for you and which products will do how good in certain markets. Markets are always on a constant changing routine. You can pick the best market, but it will always change and that is something that as a CEO or higher management you need to be ready for. This county is very diverse and so are the markets, all kinds of individuals might want to purchase your products, but you need to make sure which area is best for you, your company, and your products. Since we knew that would be our biggest consumer we made sure to address discounts for them. Our advertising would be based on campuses and libraries. There are four different kinds of facets that corporate strategy falls under. (Chapter 8, pg. 154). Team Baldwin would like to focus on two of those; first would be on “picking new industries to enter and deciding on the means of entry” here you would decide whether you want to enter a company that has already started or if you want to start from scratch. Another distinct facet is, “pursuing opportunities to leverage cross-business value chain relationships into competitive advantage” (Chapter 8, pg. 154). There are two more, but as a team we feel that we worked more around the two that I listed above, learned that if you start a company from scratch you are able to make your own name, without worrying what happened before. Also, if you have everyone in place and everyone understands what they are doing then you are capable of managing the company and products without lacking strategic fit. We learned that you could be very successful if you have all areas of your business figured out, good prices, great product, the right employees,
