In the realistic fiction book Split by Swati Avasthi a sixteen year old Jace Witherspoon, a broken kid with a violent past and an abusive father is determined to find an escape. After his father draws the last straw, Jace takes what little money he has and sets out to live with his older brother Christian who had long ago escaped the tragic fate of the family. While Jace is looking for guidance to a new life, Christian, a young man himself, struggles with his own life issues. Split, tells the tale of two brothers learning to start a new life without forgetting where you came from. This heart wrenching novel takes its readers on an emotional journey that leaves you in a different perspective on the world.
