“Smoking is Bad and should be illegal”
In Sally Chen’s “Smoking is Bad for everyone so it should be illegal,” Chen states smoking should be illegal. It breaks Chen’s heart to see high school kids standing on one foot outside school property and puffing away furtively and defiantly on their cigarettes. Most teens often have to deal with their classmates. They are pressured to be start smoking and they think it makes them popular. Some start smoking due to their family. They see them smoking so they encouraged to try it . On the other hand, Chen also says that social media plays a role in smoking in people's lives. Some celebrities smoke and people thinks it's not a worldwide problem. I agree with Sally Chen that smoking is bad for everyone and should be illegal because it may cause cancer and destroy families.

Chen states, “ they know that cigarettes are dangerous and that one of the dangers in how hard it is to stop once a person starts smoking”. One high risk disease is lung cancer. More than 80% cigarettes user are impacted with lung cancer. The most use of tobacco in teens is being the pipe, in which causes lung and throat cancer. Throat cancer is also common in people who smoke because of the going through your lungs. Nevertheless,big tobacco companies benefit because all the people purchasing their products. I met this lady at the park in where she looked very ill and I asked what was wrong and she replied. She replied “ I’m at stage 4 cancer and it has been a very rough journey so far”. I was speechless after she replied. She talked about her life growing up and getting stressed about life choices. She started smoking 3 cigarettes boxes a day and how she started to feel sick and was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer a late
