There are many examples of conflict in the story “Run, Sheep, Run” by Rosemary Howland. One example of a conflict in the story is when the character Peggy was talking about Mattie behind her back saying that she didn’t like her and didn't want her around. “Afterwards, Peggy said, “I hope she hasn’t adopted us. Something tells me she’d be hard to get rid of’” (1) Another example of conflict in “Run, Sheep, Run” is when all of the main girls were making fun of Mattie for being so naive and thinking Rick likes her.
