Rowan Williams uses the valuable insights of Origen, an early Christian theologian to present views on prayer. His thoughts on how one grows in prayer highlight the idea of growing in a Christian community. Williams’s conviction on prayer focusing on Christians way of praying that is letting Jesus’ prayer happen in one’s life, challenges me personally to have a paradigm shift regarding prayer. I firmly agree with him when he considers prayer as an experience of gazing into the depths of the Father’s love. It may seem unfathomable to most Christians, but Williams points out to the “Our Father” as a significant model to be used when praying, celebrating our relationship with the Father.
