As the story broke, of a 14-year old Kalgoorlie boy passing away, in a collision between a Ute and a small dirt bike (which the boy was riding) the country was shocked. As the day progressed, more information surfaced about the driver of the Ute and how this accident had happened. The driver of the Nissan Navarra Ute was a 55 year old male, also from Kalgoorlie, whose name cannot be identified (for legal reasons) he then explained his version of what had happened that 29th day of August, 2016. He had said that, his wife came home one night (28th of August) she said they had been burgled (which were uncommon in the twin town Kalgoorlie-Boulder) they suspected this because 2 dirt bikes that they owned, were gone along with their key. So the 55 year old went out on a search, using a torch-light, till 10pm.
