The video called Raptor’s Rapture was configured in 2012 by Allora and Calzadilla for the show Intervals. The video features Bernadette Käfer, a flautist specializing in prehistoric instruments, as she attempts to play the oldest musical instrument found to date. The instrument is a 35,000 year old flute that was carved from the wing of a griffon vulture, which is currently on the endangered species list. Through the video Käfer discovers the ancient sound of the flute with a live griffon vulture present. The flute that she is playing is relatively small compared to the flute that we know today. The bone is naturally hollow and was able to be carved without breaking. The flute is a total of 13 inches long and about 0.3 inches wide. There
