John Chichowski’s article, “Raising the speed limit to 65 mph has taken a deadly toll, experts say,” argues that the raise of the speed limit has caused speeding deaths to increase and the problem is with the lack of police enforcement. This article, which was written in 2016, is relevant to the question of “Should the speed limit be raised?” This article includes statistics and quantitative evidence. The percentage of speeding deaths have risen over the years and police enforcement have been reduced by 500 officers.
