Race: Power of an Illusion
The movie “Race: Power of an Illusion”, looks at race in a completely different way. They believe that race is not biology. They describe how many labs are trying to dissect race and categorize humans. Believing that race effects the way you think and play. Too many scientist are trying to study race, and find answers that do not exist.
I just don’t understand how someone can believe this theory. That the color of your skin, texture of your hair, or the shape of your eyes can determine who you are. You can’t possibly think that; you know who someone else is, by just looking at another individual. By judging their personality, by their skin tone or race. I am very pleased this movie, shows the actual science to this thought. They have evidence and proof, to stop this viewpoint. …show more content…
The test group steps deeper into this thought of genetic material connections or alterations between races. The results were not what everyone expected. The thought that race can determine some athletic talents, sicknesses, attitudes/personalities, and other skills, was not connected. Races cannot be grouped in a biological aspect.
In my own personal opinion, this concept is tremendously racist. We are all the same inside, literally the same species. Although, not one individual is physically the same, compared to another. Just because someone looks like you, doesn’t mean they are like you. You can share the same skin tone with a person, but have a completely different outlook on life. The way you view the world, is effected by the way you were raised, not race. You are not born with your skills and talents. Most are from how hard you practice and strive for a goal. Blaming race is just a sad
