In fact, this quote supports my thesis and my topic sentence by stating that this dystopia does not even let parents choose their own childrens names. 2 “But to be honest, Jonas,” his father said, “for me there was not the element of suspense that there is with your ceremony. Because I was already fairly sure of what my Assignment was going to be.”(Lowry 34) Actually, this quote supports my opinion by stating that the committee chooses your job for instead of the people choosing their own job. 3 “If everything's the same, then there aren’t any choices! I want to wake up in the morning and decide things! A blue tunic, or a red one?” (Lowry, 92) As a matter of fact, this quote tells us that Jonas is getting angry with the community and the rest of the world for not letting the people decide things on their own, like what colors they like. …show more content…

Sameness.” (Lowry 80) This quote supports my opinion by telling us that everything is the same. 2 “When flesh was many different colors. That was before Sameness.” (Lowry 90) No doubt that this quote supports my opinion by stating that everybody now has the same skin color, so no one is unique. 3 “What if we could hold up things that were bright red or bright yellow.”(Lowry 72) In my opinion this quote supports my opinion by stating that there is no decisions to differentiate one thing from another, which causes a dull boring
