“Transcript of President Bush’s Speech Before a Joint Session of Congress, Sept. 20, 2001” was an address given by President George W. Bush nine days after the 9/11 terror attacks. President Bush began by addressing the widow of a fallen hero, and proceeded to thank America as a whole for all the donations, thoughts, and prayers. Bush then briefly commemorates both fallen Americans and other victims from countries around the world. The 9/11 terror attacks were the first attacks on American land since the Pearl Harbor bombing in 1941.
