David Hackett Fischer’s book Paul Revere’s Ride, is the historical recollection of Paul’s midnight ride. The book revolves around mainly the actions and reactions of British parliament, British Troops stationed in America, and the colonists of America. Fischer describes, the trials of which General Thomas Gage endured while stationed in America, along with the constant struggle of keeping the peace in Boston. Through the first few chapters we learn about both Revere and Gage’s past, their personal lives, as well as insight to their thoughts about the issues in the American colonies.
