My Experience:
A Mid(Winter) Night’s Dream
On November 16, 2016 at 8pm, I attended a play entitled A Mid(Winter) Night’s Dream. Since I myself know very little about shakespearean plays, I walked in expecting a dramatic, serious play, but was shook to realize that it was actually a hilarious comedy. I brought a friend to watch the play with me, and even she was saying how much she loved it while walking out of the theatre. Not only was the play overall remarkable, but it also showed many lessons on life. The play was mostly about loves difficulty within four characters, Hermia, Lysander, Helena and Demetrius. The play also shows us the works of destiny. And lastly, a main theme throughout the entire play are dreams. To begin with, as soon

The only thing that broke their love was the magical potion, which was not their decision. I believe that there is love that is as strong as theirs. Hermia’s father was against their love from the start, he wanted Hermia to marry Demetrius. But, she had other plans. She listened to what her heart told her and in the end her and Lysander got married. In my personal experience, I have noticed that sometime parents may disagree with your significant other, but at the end of the day, it is only you that knows what the right and wrong thing to do is. I believe that there is a message throughout this entire play, that against all odds, love always prevails. But, although there seems to be a lot of drama in this play, A Mid(Winter) Night’s Dream is not a romance, it is a comedy, in which the audience is invited to laugh out the different ways in which love can make us blind, foolish and even desperate. So, although some may see the inner working within the play, at the end of the day the play is meant for …show more content…
In my perspective, I feel like the actors did an outstanding job portraying the characters they were playing. They all did a great job portraying the comedy in the play, which was my favorite part of the play (I could not stop laughing for my life). I was drawn into the play the whole time, as if I was a part of their play. I could barely even notice any “forced” acting because it all seemed so natural. Also, they did a remarkable job flowing every scene or point. I did not notice any breaks, where there was nothing going on. But, mostly I enjoyed the play because I was able to relate to a lot of the themes and was able to put myself in some of the characters shoes. I would definitely recommend this play to anybody who is looking for a good drama while also looking for a comedy in which you will not stop laughing. I had my eyes glued on the play the entire time, and honestly it was all worth

On the evening of Saturday October 8th, the cast of the play Fuddy Meers took the stage and put on a unique and exquisite performance. The play took place in the Temple Theatre which I found was a highly interesting venue. There were several different elements that I found greatly intriguing during the course of the ninety minute performance, however, there were a few elements that I felt were also lacking. The first element that I believed helped to add significance to the performance was the stage setup(1). The revolving setup of the stage was perfect for this play and it allowed much versatility for the characters during specific instances.…

On November 22nd , 2015 , I had attended a play “A servant of Two masters” that played downtown Pittsburgh at the O’Reilly theater, the play was directed by Ted Pappas. He had put together a creative and intriguing play, having actors stay spontaneous and interact with the audience, therefore no parts would be found boring nor dry. All the actors had held up their end of their roles quite well, by fully disguising themselves as that character they were suppose to be during the entire play. In the play “A Servant of Two masters” is about a girl Clarice who originally had an arranged marriage but was called off due to her fiancé death, who was Federigo Rasponi of Turin.…

One of the most underlying and important themes of this play is the difficulties of love. Shakespeare touches on the fact that people fall in love with things that are beautiful to them; and will repeal things that are not. The attraction and draw to beauty might display a side of love at its most intense stage, but one of the main ideas in this play is that true love must surpass the mere external physical shell. A majority of the issues in this play arise from difficulties in romantic world, although it is not fully based on a love story. Demetrius and Lysander are both equally in love with Hermia, but she is only in love with Lysander.…

Persistent Dreams "Thence, the disquieted times advertised extreme measures", and the writer opens his eyes; however, their pictures return and this daylight infiltrates a room from its minuscule interstices. When an age dies the shades inundate our lines; as stalkers became visible to the public eye, pulling the pretext of a violent childhood, moreover, families emerged from every publicised niche. These false lovers, therefore, leave these images in the lonesome tower; and you snarl at the visages which you become accustomed. As they study each other for conflicting reasons, again, they robbed the myth from the surge which bred it. Hence, love lived in a desert home as morality turned into its bait and deviled…

The Dreaming is a perpetual concept underpinning Aboriginal Spirituality and culture that is inexorably connected with the Indigenous Australian fundamentality of land and identity. This multifaceted system that is symbolic of the central spiritual beliefs regarding creation and existence is submerged and has an intrinsic attachment to the land and identity of Indigenous Australians. The dreaming is embedded in land and has formed a strong sense of identity and validation from the setting of the land in which the dreaming and dreamtime stories are communicated, and subsequently provokes a sense of connection on a communal basis through the differentiating dreaming stories amongst tribes. William Shakespeare is known for his elaborately poetic stories of love, loss and everything magical, and the play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, is no exception. Through the use of the literary device known as metaphor, where hidden meanings between two objects or people can be used to expand the meaning and symbolism in writings such as plays. Based around the development of characters through their words rather than long descriptions, play writes include literary devices such as metaphors to enhance their writing. In A Midsummer Night’s Dream, some of the characters go through a great deal of pain and hardship to find true love, and an underlying struggle for dominance proceeds to develop the characters into strong individuals. Through specific…

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is perhaps the most famous play ever written by William Shakespeare. It is an excellent example of comedy. The play follows the story of several pairs of lovers. The four main pairs of lovers in the play, Theseus and Hippolyta, Oberon and Titania, Lysander and Hermia, and Demetrius and Helena, each represent a different form of love. The plot of the play involves the trials that some of these characters go through and demonstrates which kinds of love should be idolized and should be followed.…
