The bell is tolling once again as the congregation makes their way to the church. They take their seats at per usual, and wait for Mr. Hooper to arrive. The people of the church have gotten so used to the Minister’s black veil, that they are not even phased anymore. As Mr. Hooper makes his way into the church, he greets, nods, and repeats as he makes his way down the center aisle. Mr. Hooper notices that the gray haired man who usually sits in the aisle is not present. He is a little confused but carries on down to the pulpit. He greets the congregation once more and bring up not seeing the gray haired man in the aisle.” Where has our loyal parishioner gone.” Said the minister. “ He has passed away this past week sir.” Says a woman in the front …show more content…
The message contains the average things taught by the minister, Hell, Angels, God, etc. The minister preaches for a good hour and a half, he finishes by blessing the congregation a wonderful sunday and rest of their week. As the people leave, Mr. Hooper chats with the crowd and makes his way to his office. As he goes over his message from the morning, he notices a strange pressure coming from his chest. It goes away for a little bit. He treats it like it’s nothing. Once again he feels the pain and pressure and it starts to worry him.
