We are walking to the ranch, “Damn it”, I’m so thirsty , I wish that we find out a lake or something to drink. Lennie is walking on front of me, his mouth always talk about the rabbits, “God dammit” he’s so noisy , just wanna shut his mouth and kick him away. “I see a lake,George,” Lennie said. “Where?” I replied. “ Right there George, I’m so thirsty , and I wanna drink some water from that lake”. After he said that , He runs to that lake, oh man , he is running like zombie , that looks so funny and I run after him . “Be careful , Lennie , it could has some bugs in this lake,” I warn him. “ It’s ok George, I’m so thirsty and I can drink all water in this lake, you should drink some George,” he replied . …show more content…
We will use that money to buy land from an old man in the west, we will get some chickens, some pigs, some cows, we will plant many vegetables like tomato, potato, cherry, cabbage, asparagus.... and when the harvest comes, I will milking and I will let you collect eggs from the chicken house. I and you kill some pigs to make bacon, we’ll harvest vegetables from our garden. We can eat and sell our stuff. We will have a better life.”
When I turn to look at Lennie , his face looks so confused and upset. “ How about my rabbits George?” he asked. “You forget about my rabbits.” “ Oh , we will have a lot of rabbits and puppies , I will let you tend them.”
His face becomes brighter . “ I will tend my rabbits , I’ll give them food, I’ll give them water , I’ll take care for them, I love the rabbits,” he said.
He keeps repeating many times. “ I will tend my rabbits , I’ll give them food, I’ll give them water , I’ll take care for them, I love the rabbits.”...
His voice is trailed off until fall in silent, he sleeped.
He just like a kid, I thought , that’s why I have to take care of himself , like a family.
But first , I have to sleep , because tomorrow will be a long day . I fall asleep
