Summary Of Max's Character Freak '

My character (Max) is learning about friendship a lot. Before he used to be sour and bitter to everyone because everyone was sour and bitter to him. But once Freak comes along all of a sudden Max started showing compassion and self-restraint, he finally knows what it means for someone to be his friend and to be on his side. He learnt that what it feels to have a friend enjoy his company. Thereby, leading him to break out of his isolated shell. He also learns much about himself. He learnt that he was smart after all, but he was just too frightened to tell the answers to the teacher for the fear that other people would ridicule him. This shows how deep the townspeople’s hatred has scarred him.
