Summary In the chapter 40 “the sound of somebody being Reborn/Roland” Macklin had a discussion with a soldier about some poor chumps. They were talking about Macklin because he killed all the poor chumps. When the soldier was talking Macklin thought that the soldier’s voice was his father’s voice. Judd Lawry told to Roland that Mr. Kempka wanted to talk to him, but Roland wanted to know at this moment. Judd Lawry and Roland were talking and talking and the only thing that Judd Lawry told to Roland was that Mr. Kempka wanted to make a deal.
