There are two young boys that are the most sinful out of all the others. "Jack looked in astonishment no longer at himself but at an awesome stranger" ( Golding 63 ). Golding put this quote showing Jack changed and his change was an awesome remark. Jack referenced himself as a stranger because he did not know he was the one changing. "Jack states they couldn’t keep the fire going if they had tried", but they did not try; Jack made the boys give up ( Golding 42 ). Therefore, Jack gave up the hope to be rescued and he made most of the boys give up too. Jack was a poor example for the others; he does not want to be rescued because then he will not be able to ruled his followers. Jack is a devious young boy but they is one more cruel than him
