Releasing its 2015 financial data report, Lexmark might have worried and confused some of its investors. The company’s net earnings for fiscal year 2015 decreased 151% comparing to year 2014. Such an abrupt fall is mainly due to a low operating income caused by high operating expenses, recent acquisitions and serious restructuring plans. Exactly, Lexmark is going through a major restructuring plan. Its “2015 Restructuring Actions” are designed to increase profitability and operational efficiency, especially in the ISS segment. These actions are primarily meant to “capture the anticipated cost and expense synergies” from the recent company acquisitions.
